Using Level Ground to Satisfy Fundraising Goals for Schools and Nonprofits

Background:

Level Ground is a coffee company based in Victoria, BC whose vision is to alleviate poverty in developing countries through Direct Fair Trade.  Their mission is to “trade fairly and directly with small-scale producers in developing countries, offering customers ethical choices.”  For the past 23 years, they have done business with the intent of creating change and have grown to import the annual harvest of 5,000 farmers from 10 countries in South America, East Africa and South Asia.

“At Level Ground we love people and we love coffee. We also know there are numerous, active, nonprofit organizations seeking, in very unique times,  to meet their fundraising goals so that they can continue to do the wonderful work that they do. This is an invitation for you to consider the power of teaming up with Level Ground so that while we're affecting positive change for thousands of farming families, you’ll be able to meet your fundraising goals for your nonprofit so that you can continue to do the good work that YOU do!”

The Question

How can your nonprofit, school or charity organization partner with Level Ground to satisfy fundraising goals?

All direct sales resulting from a partnership with Level Ground benefit your charity or nonprofit directly.  Take Sherwood Park Elementary School for example. The Parent Committee for the school (PAC) was looking for unique ways to fundraise for several of their school programs.  With many of the previous fundraising options no longer available this year (Due to COVID-19) they needed a way to create long-term fundraising opportunities to help fill in the financial gaps. Kaci suggested a partnership with Level Ground and in just a few minutes had everything set up for the school to begin receiving 15% of all online sales, using their unique shopping code!

Action Plan:

It’s very simple. If you are connected to a school, charity or nonprofit and are looking for easy fundraising opportunities, then consider a partnership with Level Ground.

Through direct sales of any of the Level Ground Products via the Level Ground online store (https://levelground.com/store) your charity, school,  or nonprofit will receive 15% of the purchase price once the discount code is entered online. ($40 minimum order is required). All funds will be disbursed to you monthly.

Kaci will set up a straightforward and simple landing page and a unique code for your organization and all you have to do is share that link with your contact list and fundraising begins.

Benefits:

Level Ground is working hard to improve the lives of disadvantaged producers through Fair Trade as well as care for the environment.  All sales through Level Ground help to accomplish this goal.  At home in Victoria, B.C. Level Ground sticks to a ‘zero to landfill’ mandate for the office & roasting facility. They compost over 20,000 lbs of organic matter, reclaim 24,000 empty coffee packages/year and also pay staff to bike, carpool or bus to work which saves nearly 52,000 km/year. (That is almost one and a half times around the world!)

When you choose to partner with Level Ground and buy this incredible fair-trade coffee, you fund education in Columbia, promote sustainability and fund education for Indigenous communities in Pangoa.  You also build infrastructure,  fund healthy communities, provide clean water AND on top of all that you fundraise locally at home for a cause that is close to your heart. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved!

Who doesn’t love coffee? And knowing that the coffee you purchase is helping communities and people around the world is a powerful feeling.

Conclusion:

How about introducing some social responsibility to your morning cuppa and putting 15% back into an organization that’s close to your heart? I hope you can appreciate the power of a partnership!
